Our new life

It's crazy how quickly things change. One day you are holding your baby in your arms and the next you have three girls and the youngest six. Man, a lot had happened since I last posted. We bought an amazing house, all my girls are in school all day long.

Last night I went to book club and we are reading Heaven is here. We started talking about blogging and I thought maybe this would be a great way for me to start keeping track of my amazing life.

For my sixteenth wedding anniversary Boyd bought me a food truck. It's crazy and fun to run.

School Dayz

The girls started school today. Boy, is life going to change next week once everyone really is in school. Aspen will go everyday this week. Emma has testing on Wednesday and then goes to school everyday starting Monday. Dylan will be starting school on Wednesday of next week and will go Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. This is going to be a big change. I have not really had any time without kids since Aspen was born and here I am working and have the girls in school. Crazy how things change. I am excited though that the girls are growing up into such amazing little ladies.

Here are some pictures of the first day. I am so proud of my little girls.

I am Not Very Good at Updating

So life is going well here in the Halvorsen Household. Aspen is quickly approaching the end of Kindergarten, Emma preschool, and Dylan well, she is just approaching her teenage years. The girls are really doing well in school and Aspen is making me prouder every day. She has really come far this year and I am so happy for the social butterfly that she is becoming. Emma is Emma, she loves to be in charge of everything and keep us guessing what is coming next. Dylan, who can forget the independent now 3 year old that makes her own peanut butter sandwiches, changes her clothing hourly, and just acts like she is the teen of the group.

We will be moving into my dream house the middle to end of June. I am ecstatic. After seven or eight moves since getting married in '96 I am ready to settle down and not move again. We will be up on the hill above the Bountiful Temple and have views from every angel. The house is going to be a challenge to clean since it is almost double the size of our current house, but we have storage so things had better find a place to live. I can't wait to start having friends up to visit and look forward to settling in to a new neighborhood and school.

Hope all is well. ABCDE Halvorsen

Grandpa Great's Visit

Aspen was so excited last year when Bluff Ridge Elementary had their reading program based on Grandpa Great's story Mercedes and the Chocolate Pilot. She has excited to become the school's celebrity as his Great-granddaughter.

When Aspen found out that Grandpa was going to come stay the night she asked him if could be her show and tell. He said yes and on pajama day he came to the school and they had an impromptu assembly.

We are so lucky to have such an amazing patriarch in our family. Grandpa, we love you.

Updates Galore

So my dear friend Kalani sent me a message today saying I needed to add Christmas Pictures to my blog. Well, I didn't think any so was happy to realize that I had taken a couple on Christmas morning. Unfortunately, when I came onto my blog I realized how long it had been since I had updated so I have added plenty of additional pictures of what has been going on in our household since September.

The girls were excited to see that Santa had used our wrapping paper to wrap their presents they decided that it had to be because the desk was much to hard to wrap prior to bringing it down the fireplace. They had a great morning playing with their new toys prior to going to Grandma and Grandpa Halvorsen's house. We spent Christmas Eve with Grandma Hanne and Grandpa Davis.

As a family we like to go do things together on Boyd's Day off on this particular day we went and spent some wonderful time playing in the leaves and on the playground at Liberty Park. The girls really enjoy the out doors and spending time together.

Dylan is the only one that had keep her hair done by this time of day.

Aspen had so much fun climbing up and jumping off of this piece of equipment. (I have no idea what it is called and decided I would make my hubby happy and not call it a thing.)

The girls wanted to go trick or treating at Grandma Hanne's and Grandpa Davis' before we went out in our neighborhood. I made their costumes this year but didn't quite get Dylan's finished because my machine decided to die before it was completed. She ended up being a Monkey but it was perfect because she is our little Monkey. She cannot go anywhere without jumping off of anything that she can.

Tinker Bell in her winter dress (Emma told me that Tinker Bell didn't have sleeves so I told her that she did when it was cold outside.)

Aspen was the cutest witch I have seen in a long time.

Dressing up for a family get together. We were heading to visit with my Aunt Lene and Cousins before Christian entered the MTC. The girls had a great time dressing up.

So cute.

I love my sister.

My three beauties.

Me and my fingers. Dylan is such a cutie with her fingers in her mouth. Fortunately she isn't sucking them quite as often as she has in the past.

Mommy and Me with Dolly Make Three

Abee was a cute little model for this apron. My girls were not wanting to have a picture taken with the apron earlier in the day so we had Haylee and Abigail do the honors. Areeana does a lot better job of taking care of her American Girl doll also so Kit made a good model for the shoot.

I finished.. Thank goodness I finally got the finished Aprons done for my open houses this weekend. I think they look so cute if I do say so myself.

The Crazy Apron Escapade

Well, for those of you that know me you have heard many a story of my bff Haylee. Well, when she said that I needed to add a line of aprons to my store I got to work. I had several failed attempts before getting a pattern I like so here is the doll version. I am not much of a model so I will have good ol' Haylee model for me tomorrow with the child's version and the doll.

Wow, you can't even tell how badly this doll needs to go to the doll hospital for the massive tangle of hair in the back. Now I couldn't even start to take pictures with Aspen's Nikki doll because she really does need to visit the American Girl Doll Hospital. The Mommy and Daughter set are the same as this one though you can actually see the pockets on those. It is amazing that a little doll apron took as long as the two other aprons to make, yet you can't charge as much.... Hmmm.
